We are excited to highlight an excellent new case study just published in the February issue of the ASHRAE Journal. The article focuses on the use of analytics in “connected commissioning”.
Connected commissioning uses real time data and continuous analytics to enhance commissioning and reduce costs throughout the building lifecycle, starting during the construction and startup phase and continuing on through the operational life of the facility. Notably it includes "active commissioning" where changes are introduced into the operation of control and equipment systems by the analytics software. System responses are then analyzed to detect faults and improper operation. Its an example of an important new trend being enabled by automated analytics which makes it possible to cost effectively commission 100% of building systems and devices.
